Mission
It is the mission of the School of Justice Studies and Sociology, in the spirit of the liberal arts, to guide and educate students:
- to undertake an in-depth exploration of the social sciences as a major field of study;
- to consider and analyze a variety of perspectives on domestic and global issues;
- to appreciate the complexities of social, cultural, and political interactions, past and present; and
- to become critical thinkers and active citizens in an ever-changing world.
The School of Justice Studies and Sociology is comprised of the Departments of Criminal Justice and Sociology; and Psychology with Teacher Education Licensure.
