The Undeclared major is designed for students who have a side variety of backgrounds and interests and who are considered capable of being successful with college-level programs.  Students selecting the Undeclared major must indicate majors of interest.  They will be admitted to the College that houses at least one of their majors of interest. There are three major codes for the Undeclared major; they are ULA (Undeclared College of Liberal Arts), UPS (Undeclared College of Professional Schools) and USM (Undeclared College of Science & Math).

Classes appropriate for Undeclared students are those that help the student decide on a major and progress toward a degree and depend on the student's interests, high school record, and placement tests.

Students must declare a major prior to accumulating 45 attempted credits (this includes transfer credits).  Students who fail to declare a major prior to accumulating 45 attempted credits, will have a registration prevention hold placed on his/her record until the Major Declaration form is submitted to the Registrar's Office.
