Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health

The College of Graduate & Continuing Studies (CGCS) offers an 18-credit hour certificate in the field of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) within the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program. This certificate will prepare students for national certification as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP).

The PMHNP is an advanced certification preparing students to provide care in the mental health field including assessment and diagnosis of mental health conditions, integration and implementation of care, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy and related mental health treatments (AACN).

Students enrolled in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate may need to satisfy the following pre-requisites prior to matriculating the certificate courses.
